JULY 2019

Welcome to The Gambier House.  At 27 years, we are Gambier’s longest continuously operating bed and breakfast.   We hope you’ll like us on Facebook: gambierhousebandb.

We are deep in summer here in Gambier: Kenyon Writers are in situ, the 4th parade made it back to the center of the Village and various other visitors are to be found all over Kenyon’s campus.

It has stopped raining and we are now enjoying the usual Central Ohio weather: hazy, hot and humid.  That makes area attractions all the more enjoyable: the Brown Family Environmental Center, the Kokosing Gap Trail, the Kokosing River (we can guide you toward canoe and kayak rentals), the Kokosing Nature Preserve and Amish Country (we’re just a hop/skip/jump away).

Roam the shelves at the Kenyon Bookstore and get a bite at The Kenyon Inn, the Village Inn, the Gambier Deli.  Wiggin St. Coffee is a great place to continue the wake-up after a gourmet breakfast with us.  We are still awaiting the opening of our last area restaurant: Chilitos, perhaps by August?!

We have a whole new look this month; the 300? year old pine tree (which was dying) came down this month so the porch rocker view is now unobstructed and the House is that much sunnier.  We hope to see you on one of those porch rockers soon!
