FALL 2018

Welcome to The Gambier House website.  At 26 years, the House is Gambier’s longest continuously operating bed and breakfast.   We’re on Facebook: gambierhousebandb.  We hope you’ll like us.

In between rain showers and hazy, hot and humid weather farmers are beginning to harvest the soybeans and feed corn that surround us here on the hill.  That, so far, is pretty much the only sign of autumn.  Leaves are beginning to change but we need a big change in weather to get to a beautiful fall.  Rumor has it, the temperature will drop soon!

It is a busy time at the College, with Family Weekend almost upon us.  Good news for us, our weekends are booked through the 2nd week in November, bad news for potential guests, but we do take a wait list AND there is weekday availability if college visiting or just getting away can happen other than a weekend.

The Kenyon Bookstore is all new and you can still get a bite at The Kenyon Inn or the Village Inn.  Wiggin St. Coffee is a great place to continue the wake-up after a gourmet breakfast with us.   Fingers crossed that the Gambier Deli opens by the end of November.

Beautiful apples and end of season veggies are everywhere (including in our breakfasts).  Please come join us for a view from our front porch rockers, the livin’ is easy.
