FALL 2018

09/6/18

Welcome to The Gambier House website.  At 26 years, the House is Gambier’s longest continuously operating bed and breakfast.   We’re on Facebook: gambierhousebandb.  We hope you’ll like us.

The soybean fields are yellowing so it must be September.  The other giveaway is that Kenyon’s fall semester has begun.  Sports teams are running amok…lots of first game wins…and the school opening feast was a big success.

Hazy, Hot and Humid is still with us, which means that Kokosing River water fun (kayaking, canoeing, fishing) is still looking good.  The House is just up the hill from the river and the Kokosing Gap Trail for walkers and cyclists.  Amish Country is a short drive away.

The Kenyon Bookstore is all new and you can still get a bite at The Kenyon Inn or the Village Inn.  Wiggin St. Coffee is a great place to continue the wake-up after a gourmet breakfast with us.   Fingers crossed that the Gambier Deli opens by mid fall.

Summer fruits are on the wane but those beautiful apples and end of season veggies are everywhere (including in our breakfasts).  Please come join us for a view from our front porch rockers, the livin’ is easy.
